Low Energy: A holistic approach to healing.

Low energy is vague term, but a huge problem. Low energy is also normal under certain circumstances. For example if you are sick, low energy is an expected symptom because your body is under abnormal stress. The same is true if you are up all night with a fussy baby and aren't getting enough sleep. However, a lot of people have what is sometimes called "chronic fatigue" or long-term, unexplained low energy which is NOT normal. From a holistic, chiropractic perspective this is a sign that your body is under some sort of stress or locked in a stress state. The good news is, there is usually a holistic solution.


The Chiropractic Approach

Holistic chiropractors specialize in the spine and its relationship with your central nervous system. There are two major parts to your nervous system. Both are important and necessary, but should remain in balance for proper health and function. An out of balance nervous system can result in low energy and fatigue.


Guess what throws your nervous system out of balance? Yep. STRESS.


The good news: specific chiropractic care can help rebalance the nervous system and reduce your stress response. This in turn can improve overall energy and reduce fatigue.


The Nutritional Approach

What you eat matters.


Consuming a lot of synthetic sweeteners, processed foods, and non-organic food can lead to metabolism issues and low energy. Likewise, nutrient deficiencies can lead to inefficient biochemical pathways and energy issues as well.
