SPOTLIGHT ON: Pati Richards, Alternative Therapies

As we welcome in June, we are curious about your interest level for a Hatha yoga series this month. Pati Richards, your guide through this series, will include breath work to begin to still the activity and chatter in your mind as well as offering relaxation and a short meditation at the end of your practice. The word Hatha means Sun and Moon; think about the heat of Solar power on a summer day being balanced by the cool and calm of a moonlit evening. The practice of Hatha focuses on bringing both of these qualities into your mind and body. Our need right now is to gather your feedback regarding interest for a Wednesday or Thursday evening class. We would also like to know if you have an interest in a Sunday morning meditation series that would include a short series of movement to prepare your body for meditation.

Here are the options we are considering for June: a commitment to four sessions would be $45. If you know that you could only attend the sessions at a drop-in rate, the cost would be $16 per session. Please connect with us regarding your interests that we may choose whether we launch this series of summer yoga. Thank you for attending our class offerings and for taking the time to care for your body, mind and spirit.

Pati also brings a rich dimension to our Power of Life team with therapies that encourage balance in body, mind & spirit.

  • Thai Yoga Bodywork – stimulate the flow of healing energies within the body, open areas which are blocked and bring the body, mind and spirit back into balance and harmony.

  • Reiki – for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

  • Raindrop Technique – stimulate every organ, muscle, and bone of the body at a cellular level through the use of essential oils, boosting the immune system, bringing the body intro structural and electrical balance. Raindrop Technique is non-secular.
